Most likely, whoever reported it knew Havoc was gone, and saw the opporutuinity. By reporting it while he's gone, it makes it so if we move/re-host anything, It has to be done w/o his permission, which could cause problems

My old site was hosted through forumotion, I will tell you this:
There is nothing Calum could have done to save the site from this.
The only thing he could of done, was delete the whole V.I.P. section, and for what, there was no way of knowing this would happen
Stop blaming him.


And for those of you who keep saying that the best option is just to delete v,i,p,
It won't save the site....
We would have to delete all downloads,
and the pc hacking section, to "be within forumotions ToS"
And then we're just going on their terms..There's no way of telling if they would still shut it down, and from my experiences with them, they will anyway.

Most companies like this will shut down the site regardless, as it is a risk to them,We delete all that, and then they just shut it down because "its a hacking site"

They don't care..
They make little profit off these sites


And as for all these "Moving to a vulnerable host" BS,
The version of Vbulletin I use is hack-proof, there are no known exploits for this version. Even if one were to explot my password, and take my site down,I male backups of all the sites scource and database every night.
Meaning they would have to actually hack into the site itself, rather than just the forum.

Doing that....Nearly impossible
My provider also allows remote logging,
once every hour the site backs up all its logs to a secret location only I know,so I would still have record of what happened, and all I.p's associated with it


Also I should mention that I am actually paying for hosting.
So if it was hacked, all I have to do is go to the hosting company, provide proof of identity, and they would restore my access to the site.

We can try to delete all the illegal stuff but I think the site will get deleted anyway. This happened at the worst time possible for me because I don't have much time to work on this. I think we will have to move to another forum just in case this site gets deleted we will still be in contact with each other.

I will try to save the site but I doubt I will be able to do it. Lets just wait and hope for the best.

ok so i went through the whole site and i didnt find any "illegal" items like mp3s or pirated games or movies or anything that might be of risk of the host gettting sued so im guessing even if you (or we if you guys think it approtiate) they will shut down the site the only thing i can think off as "illegal" is the save files and i have no problem with them being deleted unlike some people *cough*9mm*cough* im not here for them im here to learn as much as i can from you guys and i hope i can teach you guys a thing or 2 in return so with that said i say lets wait for havoc and see what the out come will be im down to move to an other forum or to pay fees if i have too (if its resonable)
