Not really, Vista like other Operating Systems is a built-in program that comes with the computer!
You can't download Vista or XP... You can always buy a new computer! Razz

You can take it off and put annother OS on though. Or split XP and Vista with annother OS.

I think. I heard it can be done.

You can always buy a Vista/XP installation CD and install it... /: (Like sparx said)

But if you go for Vista or XP then I'd chose XP. Even though Vista does look good. You can get a Visual Theme that looks like Vista and add it to your XP Interface. Vista is quite slow.
