yh im new aswell wid firmware 4.05. i was told that brand new psp's which r bought like 1 month ago can't b down graded coz ov their motherboards. is this true or can i still hack?

Um, do you have a SLIM or PHAT(model 2000 or 1000)?

EDIT: Oh, I found an article on PSP-Updates and it says it only prevents the creation of Pandora Batteries. You can still use a Pandora Battery to downgrade.

So, yeah, you can still downgrade. You just can't use the PSP to make one yourself.

but u can't use your own battery u need an older battery
